DeepScale uses deep learning to build accurate and efficient perception systems that enable automated machines to “see”. Our software takes input from sensors and produces an environmental model of the real world. Our prior work has produced neural nets that maintain state-of-the-art accuracy but are up to 500x smaller than other nets designed for the same task. We have thought leaders and experienced practitioners in computer vision, AI-powered 3D reconstruction, and deploying small neural nets in embedded applications.
Our R&D and Business Development efforts are proceeding at a blistering pace, and we are looking to bring on a Head of Quality to ensure we are prepared to meet and exceed industry and customer quality criterion as we bring our perception software product to market. The Head of Quality will build a QA organization that encompasses QA/QC processes, best practices, and test methodologies to exceed industry and customer-specific quality criteria.
Devise a strategy and build a team of top talent to make DeepScale a leader in quality for deploying automotive artificial intelligence software.
Advance state-of-the-art quality and reliability specifications for automotive artificial intelligence software.
Develop processes for in-house software development, verification, and validation that exceeds the requirements of automotive safety-critical systems.
Create a quality-focused software release framework that makes automotive customers want to use DeepScale software.
Travel (~10%) to work with automotive customer teams and to attend industry events.
Experience working within quality organization of an automotive OEM or supplier, releasing ADAS products to mass production—with an emphasis on software.
Expert in automotive quality and safety standards (ISO 26262, APQP, NCAP, FMEA, etc.).
The ability to wear two hats: stringent automotive industry quality expert; and disruptive technology startup advocate.
Experience building in-house systems and teams from the ground up.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Experience with artificial intelligence or deep learning.
Experience with silicon suppliers.
Experience interfacing directly with customers.
